Mendenhall Smith was privileged to provide complete structural engineering and
observation services for the 2003-2005 Superbowls in San Diego, Houston and Jacksonville,
respectively. Responsibilities included designing additional press facilities,
suites, camera platforms and a virtual tent city to house many of the support
functions necessary to make this event a success. A tight project schedule,
maximum seismic provisions and the active involvement of local building officials
provided excellent opportunities to be part of a great team of planners, designers
and builders.
